Dance In Vancouver celebrates the energy and originality of the contemporary dance scene: showcasing some of British Columbia’s most exciting companies.
Thoenn will be showing excerpts of her new work, Wags Alternate. With four dancers the piece investigates the undercurrents and impulses of caricature, the alter-ego and the fundamental hidden aspects of our lives. The work incorporates several ropes hung from the grid as well as ropes used loose in the space as props, exploring the inherent theatricality and dynamic possibilities they provide for the dancers.
